With the next edition of EuroTier, the world’s leading tradeshow for animal husbandry, just around the corner from November 13 – 16, 2018 in Hanover, Germany, DLG Italia is proud to announce their collaboration with Acquaforte Travel Designer. Acquaforte has been active since 2008 specializing in the organization of professional trips in both Italy and abroad in the sectors of agriculture and animal husbandry. Thanks to Acquaforte’s interest in the world of agriculture, knowledge of the territory and the tourism sector, they are able to create highly professional and technical trips, both for experts and students.
Along with organizing trips to tradeshows in the animal husbandry and agricultural mechanization sectors, DLG Italia and Acquaforte are joining forces in the organization of trips for professionals and students in the agro-food and agro-industrial sectors.
One might ask oneself, “Why does a tour operator deal with agriculture?”
“Tourists” are constantly evolving and increasingly, besides just history, art and culture, they would like to know and get in touch with the land, traditions and gastronomy of the area they visit. Acquaforte was first created to satisfy this type of need and from there, they began to understand that there is a much more specific and technical demand in the agro-food sector.
With Acquaforte, you can:
- Meet representatives of agricultural associations such as Coldiretti (National Federation of Direct Farmers), CIA (Italian Federation of Farmers) and Confagricoltura (General Confederation of Italian Agriculture);

To strengthen their knowledge in agriculture and establish relationships with those involved in the field, for four years Acquaforte has been a member of the association aimed at promoting and encouraging rural tourism, “Strada del Radicchio” (www.stradadelradicchio.it), which brings together selected partners from the most important agricultural, wine and dairy industries in the area.
In 2016, Acquaforte developed an important project entitled “AgriCultures: Once Upon a Time there was Agriculture”. It consists of a series of conferences aimed at highlighting the importance of the synergy between agriculture and tourism, all addressed at farms and farmers’ associations. The goal is to raise awareness of the importance of exchanging knowledge with foreigners with the same job by opening the doors of farms through technical visits and of taking advantage of trips abroad to get to know other countries from an agricultural point of view.
In addition to welcoming foreign farmers interested in discovering Italy, Acquaforte has also been organizing study trips both in Italy and abroad for about two years. These trips are also for the main Italian associations in the food industry, such as Coldiretti, CIA, and breeders’ associations. Thanks to careful research, also on an international level, customers have the opportunity to experience excellence and innovations in the food and agriculture sectors in the rest of the world, while traveling with every comfort and professional services while assisted by Acquaforte’s experienced guides.
In November 2018, Acquaforte will officially join Agricultural Tour Operators International (ATOI – http://atoi.org/), an association that brings together 60 tour operators specializing in agricultural travel to 40 countries around the world.
