INTERVITIS INTERFRUCTA HORTITECHNICA is the international technology trade fair for wine, fruit juice and special crops held every two years at the Stuttgart Trade Fair Centre in Germany. The trade show highlights the entire process chain while focusing on cultivation and harvesting technology, processing and process control, filling and packaging technology, and organization and marketing.
The last edition of the tradeshow from November 27 – 30, 2016 was a success, with more than 25,000 visitors from 57 countries meeting with more than 400 exhibitors demonstrating the latest technology trends for the production, processing and marketing of wine, fruit juice and special crops.
In 2016, DLG Italia organized the special show “Italians take the Field – Technology and Innovation in Horticulture” to showcase the machinery used in lettuce procuction. For the first time ever, spectators were able to observe live the entire horticultural production chain from soil tillage to harvesting. Eight processes were demonstrated: burying, harrowing, bed-forming, mulching, sowing, transplanting, weeding and harvesting. The project was made possible thanks to the collaboration of four of the leading sector machinery manufacturers, Ortomec, Argo Tractors-Landini, Sfoggia and Forigo, whose machines performed the various processes.
These machine demonstrations featuring tractors, soil tillage, sowing equipment and harvesting technologies always prove very popular among visitors, and INTERVITIS INTERFRUCTA HORTITECHNICA 2018 will not disappoint. The next edition of this trade fair will be held from November 4 – 6 at the Stuttgart Trade Fair Centre with roughly 50,000 sqm of gross exhibition space.
