AGRITECHNICA ASIA 2018: “Basic Maintenance”

When looking at machinery in developing countries such as Southeast Asia, the concept of “Basic Maintenance” of machinery is of utmost importance. Farmers and technicians must possess the knowledge and be able to fix basic problems and breakdowns that they encounter using their machinery on a daily basis.

In the field of agricultural mechanization, a well-maintained system plays a key role in farm management. The role of agricultural mechanization must guarantee and safeguard the productive process, ensuring a maximum output without compromising function. To guarantee such technical performance, correct information regarding the diagnosis, maintenance and periodic inspection is necessary.

AGRITECHNICA ASIA offers the perfect opportunity to highlight the latest technology in ag machinery for a market that is so varied and fragmented and sensitive to prices and fluctuations of the market, but at the same time full of possibilities in the areas of tillage, sowing, components and process technologies. Over the past ten years, crop production in Asia has reached high levels with the main crops of the area being rice, fruit, vegetables, corn, forage, manioc, wheat, palm oil and potatoes.

With the collaboration of partner companies, AGRITECHNICA ASIA 2018 will host equipment workshops along with live “Basic Maintenance” demonstrations touching on the topics of basic tractor maintenance, tires as well as mechanical maintenance.

The first edition of AGRITECHNICA ASIA hosted 89 exhibitors from 20 countries and welcomed more than 8,100 specialized visitors from 76 countries. AGRITECHNICA ASIA is returning for the second edition at the BITEC exhibition grounds in Bangkok, Thailand from August 22nd to 24th, 2018. Bangkok is a lively city, and thanks to its strategic location, it also serves as a fundamental meeting point for Southeast Asia.
