DLG Italia comes to Bologna

DLG Italia comes to Bologna

On paper it might seem that DLG Italia has little experience in the agricultural world, but in reality it has been a part of this world for more than ten years. This is the new subsidiary of DLG International, the German Agricultural Society (Deutsche Landwirtschafts-Gessellschaft) which organizes international trade shows in the agricultural-food sector. The inauguration took place on January 29, 2016 at DLG Italia’s new office  located in the Working Tower of Bologna in via di Corticella, 184/10, a modern building only a few minutes from Bologna’s historical downtown.

Multiple key figures in DLG came from Frankfurt (headquarters of the German company) specially to celebrate and officialize the opening of their eighth active subsidiary in Europe. This Italian branch joins DLG Rus, recently inaugurated in Moscow (Russia), DLG Benelux (Holland), DLG AgroFood (Poland), DLG InterMarketing (Romania), DLG Fuarcilik (Turkey), DLG AgroTechService (China) and IFWexpo in Heidelberg (Germany).

Leading DLG Italia is CEO Raffaele Talarico who has more than ten years of experience working with DLG Interntional. Talarico is supported by Emanuela Ciccia in Marketing and Sales and Nicoletta Frioni, Marketing and Communications. The main task of this Italian branch is to involve Italian manufacturers in trade shows organized by DLG, most importantly Agritechnica, and also to promote new business opportunities through smaller events in Dlg subsidiaries in Europe. Among the upcoming events there are “Intervitis Interfructa and Hortitechnica” in Stuttgart from November 27-30, 2016 and a trade show in Iran at the end of the year. Both of these events represent an interesting platform to promote “Made in Italy” by the national manufacturers.
